You’re drunk, we’re drunk, let’s talk about it!
We’ve made avoiding cameras and sending friendly litigation threats when pictures/videos feature us an art which is why we were immediately intrigued and terrified when the ‘Drunk Dial!’ girls first hit our radar (thanks @GetDressedShow).
the concept sounded fun but risky… every thursday night these ladies (Emily Lowe & Jodi Lynn Frizzell) film their bar hop shenanigans… once hammered and kicked out of the bars they go home to host a live internet/phone drunk advice show between 2:30-3:30am. Later, Jess Gardner performs some editorial magic wrapping the best moments into a weekly episode that gets posted to their youtube every saturday at midnight except that one time i wanted to watch drunk @ 3am but they didn’t post until sunday afternoon.
after watching the first episode we instantly fell in stalker love and realized it was our destiny to make these girls our new best friends! this was actually an effortless task since we drink…they drink…we roam the 78702…they roam the 78702…get the point? with destiny in play, it just so happened a week later i spotted them while making a last stop for drinks before the wife and i walked home… drunk already and quickly falling in love with Emily & Jodi we forgot all about heading home and ended up tagging along on their bar hop where things happened that i don’t even know if i’m allowed to say…
Weeks later, ‘Drunk Dial!’ is now on episode 6 and quickly growing in popularity with international ‘drunk dial’ calls and a facebook page that is about to hit 1,000 fans in only a few short weeks… To celebrate all this love, they now want to throw a live late night party in honor of their 1,000th facebook fan this thursday.
UPDATED 8/3 : The party deets are on the flyer and they are almost at 1,000 Fans!!! Thursday 10PM-2:30 @ Cheer Up Charlie’s. i don’t know all the details yet… but from what i’ve hear… it’ll be thursday @ 2:30am…recording show live via their ustream channel at this soon to be announced likely location… if you’re out, you should prolly skip the ustream and just take your drunk ass over and join in on what is sure to be out of control madness…
