Smoosh (Seattle WA)
it’s been almost 2 years since i first fell in love w/ smoosh. “free to stay” was one of the first songs i hearted(saved) on my what was then my new sirius satellite stiletto.
for months it’d creep up on random, i’d fall in love with it again and loop it non-stop for a day to get it out of my system (i have an insane habit of doing this…sometimes i loop the same song for weeks).
it wasn’t until a year later while on a quest for new tunes i looked into exactly who “smoosh” was. Smoosh originally started with 2 sisters singing, playing drums and keyboards and were later joined by the 3rd/youngest sister playing bass. by time SXSW rolls around their ages will be 18 / 16 / and 13 yrs old.
serious talent and potential for these young girls. maybe they’ll play a free show and i’ll get to see them live?
